Through Gas Natural Europe - the company tasked with selling energy on the European market with its head office in Paris - Gas Natural Fenosa has been selling natural gas on the French market since 2005.

Gas Natural Fenosa, through its subsidiary in Europe which sells natural gas in France, was the main winner in the tender to supply natural gas to the Paris region, and will provide a service for two years to most of the supply points in the public facilities of 208 municipalities in the region. The company already has nearly 2,000 customers in various sectors in France.

Gas Natural Europe (the French subsidiary that sells gas in Europe) has 2,566 supply points to customers in various sectors, ranging from companies in the industrial sector (chemical, paper, etc.) to local authorities and the public sector, which means, approximately, a 5% share of the French non-residential gas market.

Natural gas activity sales in France for 2012 stood at 14.1 TWh, representing a strong boost to sales activities in this country.

Gas Natural Europe also received from Elengy, operator of the Montoir regasification plant (north-west coast of France), the concession to operate a total of 1 bcm of natural gas between 2011-2021, which will enable Gas Natural Fenosa to increase its natural gas sales to the European wholesale market.
