Oman

Through its subsidiary Unión Fenosa Gas, Gas Natural Fenosa holds a 3.7% stake in the Qalhat liquefaction plant in the Sultanate of Oman.

Both the time period for the construction of the Qalhat plant and the start-up and first LNG production period (13 days) marked a world record in the development of this type of facility.

The Qualhat plant complements and significantly strengthens Unión Fenosa Gas' business structure.

In 2011, the gas acquired through long-term contracts with Oman and Egypt covered most of Unión Fenosa Gas' needs for the Spanish market.
