Gas Natural Fenosa participates in the electricity generation market in Kenya through a power plant with 112 MW of installed capacity.

The Nairobi South fuel plant began operating in 1997 with 58 MW of installed power. In the third quarter of 2009, the multinational energy company put another 52 MW into commercial operation, corresponding to seven new motors. Following this expansion, the plant increased its production to 767 GWh in 2011.
